Nevertheless, Northwestern University Professor John Michael Bailey is in a boatload of trouble for an extracurricular sex-toy demonstration presented in his classroom, and he's being vilified by the press and investigated by university authorities.

The controversial demonstration involved a couple bringing a large, electric phallic sex toy to class, according to reports. The woman removed her clothes and energetically used the device. Bailey says the demonstration was not objectionable because it took place after class, was optional for the 600 students in his class, and was relevant to the subject he was teaching.
