Friday Freebies: Free Glasses, Waffle Fries, Kindle Games, and More!

exterior Chipotle - free burrito - Friday freebiesThis week's Friday Freebies is marked by two truly amazing offers -- free prescription glasses and a Chipotle burrito -- that require spending a small amount of money. Because they are so much more valuable than many totally free offers, I decided to include them. For freebie purists, watch out for free waffle fries at Chick-fil-A today from 2-4 p.m., free Kindle games, and a free subscription to Newsweek. Happy weekend!

Get a free pair of prescription glasses from CoastalContacts when you participate in the company's Facebook giveaway. The glasses (frame and prescription) truly are free, though you pay for shipping and upgrades. Here's how it works:1. Log into Facebook or create an account. Go to Coastal Contacts' free glasses page.

2. In the box where it says "5,000 Free Glasses For," find your state and click "Give Me A Code." The page should say how many free glasses codes are left so you'll know if the deal already ran out. Get a code now even if your state's freebie doesn't start for a few days.

3. Copy and paste your unique code (it can only be used once and cannot be replaced) into a safe spot, then watch the calender for the freebie day in your state. Keeping reading about how to get your free glasses.

If you missed Chipotle's buy one, get one free deal from last week, you have until March 6, 2011, to get a free burrito at Chipotle (or bowl, salad, or tacos) when you watch a 91-second video on the yummy burrito chain's Facebook page. Click the link above, then hit the "Get Offers" tab and watch the video. It's called America's Next Great Restaurant because the tasty freebie is part of a promotion for a new TV show about chefs who want money to start their dream restaurant. Think "The Apprentice" for chefs. It debuts March 6, 2011, on NBC. After the video ends, the buy one, get one free coupon will appear. It is valid for seven days or until March 6, 2011. If you haven't eaten at Chipotle, it's super delicious! Caveats: One coupon per person or Facebook account. Cannot be combined with any other offers or coupons.

Snack on free fries at Chick-fil-A this Friday, March 4, 2011, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at participating restaurants. To get the free food, ask about the Heinz Dip & Squeeze and the Free FryDay promotion. Apparently this freebie is tied to "an innovation in ketchup." You'll get a free medium order of Chick-fil-A's waffle fries for your trouble. Some 45,113 people have already RSVP'd on Facebook, though that is not necessary to take advantage of this freebie. You do not need a Facebook account to get free fries at Chick-fil-A. Caveats: One per customer. No purchase necessary.

Get a free conditioner sample from Dove when you share your name, date of birth, email, address, marital status, gender and answer what Dove products you currently purchase. You can opt into two email lists, or opt out. Choose between Intensive Repair and Daily Moisture conditioner formulas. This freebie is only available while supplies last. Caveats: Your free Dove conditioner will arrive in eight to 12 weeks, which is just long enough to forget you requested it. You must be 18 years or older and a U.S. resident to receive the freebie. One per household or address.

Download these six free games for Kindle through Amazon without paying a penny. It's unclear how long these free Kindle games will be around. I'm guessing awhile, but you never know. The freebies include:
  • Mine Sweeper
  • Blackjack
  • Every Word
  • Shuffled Row
  • Word Morph
  • Jumble
There are also a lot of free books for Kindle that you can download.

Join RewardsGold and get a free one-year subscription to Newsweek. That's a value of about $20! RewardsGold is a free program that gives points for shopping at partner sites, completing surveys, and writing product reviews. You can redeem the points for various rewards, like magazines and books. I am not a member, but this sounds like an interesting way to join. Share your name, address, email and date of birth to join. No credit card is required to get the free magazine subscription to Newsweek. The site partners with many prominent retailers, including Zappos, Nordstrom and Walmart. If you are already a RewardsGold member, you can skip the free Newsweek subscription and instead collect 1,750 points to use for another prize. Caveats: By joining you will begin receiving emails from RewardsGold and its partners. Consider using a secondary email account if you are worried about email overload.

This next deal requires a small purchase, hence it's placement at the bottom of this post. Get free breadsticks (worth $3.99) from Pizza Hut when you do two simple things: "Like" the Pizza Hut Facebook page, and place a food order through its website. The freebie is to celebrate Pizza Hut accumulating more than 3 million Facebook fans. The deal ends March 6, 2011. Order online for pick up or delivery to get the free breadsticks. A number of Facebook fans are commenting that the free breadsticks did not show up in their order, but when I tested it the free breadsticks were there. When you click through to start your order, the free breadsticks should already be in your cart. Make sure not to delete them or you'll have to start over from Facebook. Caveats: While supplies last. It is unclear if there is a minimum delivery order required to get the free breadsticks, but the freebie showed up for me with an order as low as $3.99. At participating locations only.
