Now Hiring: Chicago Cubs Dream Job

job interview Here's your chance at a Cubs dream job! If you think the Cubs are more than just a baseball team, that they're a way of life, we are about to rock your world. The Chicago Cubs are looking for baseball's next great public announcer. That's right: It could actually be your job to announce the Cubs' starting lineup at Wrigley Field this season.

So if you want to make like golden-throated Ted Williams, this could be the ideal gig for you. The perfect applicant has an encyclopedic knowledge of baseball, great vocal talent and won't mind being at every Cubs home game this season.

Prior experience working as a public announcer in a collegiate or professional sports environment, or on radio or TV is preferred, of course; but who knows? It's a paid position that also requires you to make various media and special-events appearances throughout the year. Wouldn't that be a chore?

If this sounds like the job you were born to do, then you've got until March 7 to get your application in. A short video audition is required, and you can find all the details on CareerBuilder. Selected finalists will be asked to participate in a live audition at Wrigley Field on March 14, and the team will make its decision by March 25.
