Lennox Recalls Natural Gas Log Sets: Valves Can Crack, Leak Gas

ennox Hearth Products LLC recalled about 3,200 of its Lennox Shadowdance Natural Gas Log Set Burner Assemblies because the valve can crack and leak natural gas, said the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The Nashville company received 20 reports of cracks at the gas valve connection. So far, no injuries have been reported. Carbon monoxide poisoning from leaking gas can be fatal.

Included in the recall are gas burners sold with the Shadowdance natural gas log set burner assemblies used in wood-burning fireplaces or a ventless firebox. The set was sold nationwide between August 2007 and December 2010 for $700 to $850 each.
