Give Your Boss a Boost and Get Credit
You hear a lot about bad, crazy and abusive bosses these days, but not as much about the good ones -- the truly great ones who treat employees with respect, pay them fairly, and provide plenty of opportunity for growth. If your boss is one of the good guys (or if you'd like to encourage them to be better), here's your chance to give a little well-deserved recognition.
eBossWatch, the same website that brings you stories of America's worst bosses, is currently seeking nominations for America's Best Bosses, to be recognized with an eBoss Award. The recipients will be presented at a special awards ceremony that will take place on National Boss's Day in October 2011, and they'll get all sorts of publicity and recognition. Wouldn't it be nice to be the one who arranged for our boss to be honored like that?
Anyone can anonymously nominate their boss, but you know how to get the credit, if you're interested. The application process is open through May 15, 2011. To nominate your boss, send your boss's name, company, and email address via the eBossWatch contact form.
eBossWatch will then coordinate with your boss to conduct an anonymous online employee survey that takes less than 5 minutes to complete. The nominees will be evaluated by a panel of management experts, and the winners will be selected based on the responses to the employee surveys.
What have you got to lose? The anonymity factor keeps your colleagues from thinking that you're trying to score brownie points -- only you and your boss need know where this is coming from. There are a lot of really great bosses out there. It's about time they got some recognition.
