Valentine's Day Restaurant Deal

Take your sweetie out to a tasty Valentine's Day meal without breaking your budget by using Restaurant.com coupon code LOVE, which squeezes 80% off a $25 restaurant gift certificate (that normally sells for $10). The coupon code makes each $25 certificate just $2. It expires Feb. 14, 2011, at 11:59 p.m. PST. Pick which restaurant you want the gift certificate for, enter the coupon code as your check out, and then bring the cert with you when you dine out.

In the past, when I have used a $25 Restaurant.com gift card, I've saved 25% to 40% off my original tab. That's a significant savings! There are some catches, however.

The certificate usually requires a diner to spend a minimum amount above and beyond the certificate, like $35. You can only use one certificate per table, and tax, tip and alcohol do not count toward the food spend. Some restaurants restrict the days you can use the certificate, like not on a busy Friday night.

Caveats: Most of the gift certificates start at $10 for a $25 cert, but some cost more. Make sure to read the redemption rules before you buy.
