Win an 80-Day Trip Around the World

Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong's official airline, has launched a contest that gives one lucky jetsetter the chance to travel around the world on unlimited flights for 80 days.

But that's not all: the winner will also stay in 4- or 5-star hotels, have a daily allowance of $360, and receive travel insurance.

The "Travel the World in 80 Days with Cathay Pacific" contest is open now until March 6 on the airline's Facebook page. Those looking to enter need to "like" the airline, and then submit a short video, photo or story explaining how they would spend 80 days traveling the world.

The airline will then comb through the entries and shortlist eight entrants, who will be flown to Hong Kong in April courtesy of the airline for a final interview and one-day challenge. Cathay Pacific says the challenge will take finalists across the city to post tweets to Twitter and upload photos that "capture the essence of the city's attractions."

The overall winner will be able to travel to any destinations of their choice on the networks of Cathay Pacific and sister airline Dragonair for 80 days between June 1 and August 31, 2011. The only stipulation is the winner will be asked to submit a daily report of his or her travel experiences for the airline's Facebook fan page.

Cathay Pacific serves 115 destinations in 36 countries and territories on five continents.
