Salad producer State Garden Inc. recalled all its salad products made on Jan. 4 -- sold at Wegmans, Shop & Stop/Giant, Shaw's and other stores on the East Coast -- after a sample in Rhode Island showed it was contaminated with listeria monocytogenes, said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The salads were packaged under the brand names, Gold Quality, Hannaford, Nature's Place, Nature's Promise, Roche Bros, Northeast Fresh, Noreast Fresh, Olivia's Organics, Signature and Wegmans. The FDA has a list of the dozens of UPC codes and product descriptions. The product trace back codes are 45693 and 45703 and all the recalled products have a "best if used by" date no later than Jan. 15, 2011.
