Explosion from Bomb at Moscow Airport, 31 Dead

An apparent suicide bomb explosion has killed at least 31 people and wounded 100 at Russia's busiest airport in Moscow, according to Russia's state-run news agency.

The deadly explosion at Domodedov airport is believed to have occurred in the airport's arrivals hall according to some reports – though there were also reports that the blast occurred in a baggage check-in area.

Domodedov is the main international airport used by locals, business people and tourists traveling to and from Russia.

The exact cause of the explosion was not known, according to investigators.

According to CNN, the entire Russian capital has been put on alert for other potential suicide bomb attempts. An emergency meeting on the airport bombing has also been called at the Kremlin.

Meanwhile, flights to Domodedov are being redirected to other airports, Russian TV is reporting.
