What do you think of when you hear the term "Great customer service"? I usually think of companies that spend more time telling me they have great customer service than they do actually providing great customer service.

There are, however, companies out there that know what great customer service really means. Recently a survey by the National Retail Foundation and American Express came up with a list of the top 10 companies.

So which companies did they say really put customers first?
