Want to do something meaningful on Martin Luther King Day, rather than sitting around in your jammies and catching up on all those TV shows you've recorded? The national day of recognition is rapidly approaching, and many people get Jan. 17 off. If you live anywhere near the Washington, D.C., area, you can join the March for Jobs and Justice. If you live elsewhere, you can at least take a virtual look at it.

From 11AM to 1PM Monday, people will gather on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., at the nearly-completed Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial (on the field adjacent to West Basin Drive Southwest). From there, the march will proceed to the steps of the Lincoln Memorial for a rally in the exact location where Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech... Now that's a historical way to spend the afternoon!
