The freebie is being run by CoastalContacts.com, a site that has a great tool for figuring out which size glasses you need. I took advantage of an earlier free glasses promotion the company ran and have been very satisfied with my specs.

Here is how to get your free glasses. Click the link above, log onto Facebook, and "like" the CoastalContacts page. Click on the "Get the Code" button, then copy and paste the code while checking out at CoastalContacts.com. You pay for shipping and handling.

The free glasses are for 1.5 index lenses; stronger prescriptions cost extra. All upgrades, including coatings, progressives, bifocals, tints and high index lenses cost extra, but are available at 25% off.

Pick out the glasses you want ahead of time because the site gets so hammered during the freebie that it is almost impossible to use. You can also try calling customer service if the website is not working. Remember, only the first 5,000 customers to redeem the code tomorrow will get free glasses.

Caveats: Open to residents of the United States only. Some frames are not eligible. Limit one per household. If you already got a free pair of glasses you are not eligible for this promotion. Multiple orders made from the same computer and household will be canceled.
