Get 80% off at Restaurant.com using coupon code SPOON, valid through Jan. 13, 2011. The 80% off coupon brings the price of a $25 restaurant gift certificate to just $2 (they normally start at $10). When I have used $25 restaurant gift cards in the past, they shaved 25% to 40% off my total bill.

There are a few tricks to redeeming these gift certificates, however. You can only use one per table and alcohol, tax and tip are not covered. You may have to spend a minimum amount that is above and beyond the certificate, like $35 or $45 for a $25 certificate. Read the redemption rules for the restaurant you want to dine at -- there are thousands across the country to choose from -- before buying and you'll be fine.
