Eva Longoria's Las Vegas Nightclub Files for Bankruptcy

A Las Vegas nightclub partly owned by "Desperate Housewives" actress Eva Longoria has filed for bankruptcy, claiming a loss of $76,000 per month, The Associated Press reported Friday.

Beso, which is one-third owned by Longoria, owes almost $5.7 million in debt, including $1.8 million in unpaid rent to the 2-year-old CityCenter resort complex, according to the bankruptcy court filing. Longoria is also a creditor, having loaned the club $1 million and paid $375,000 of its legal fees, the AP reported.

In a statement to the AP, the actress said she plans to take a more active role in the operations of the club, which remains open and generated $14.6 million in revenue last year. Longoria also owns a Los Angeles restaurant, also called Beso, that opened in 2008.
