Virgin America's New Year's resolution is to offer cheap flights. That's one promise I can get behind! To take advantage of these low fares, tickets must be booked by Jan. 10 for travel through May 11, 2011. Flying Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday offer the biggest discounts, below. Taxes and fees are extra.

  • D.C. to Los Angeles or San Francisco for $119

  • Boston to Los Angeles or San Francisco for $119

  • Ft. Lauderdale to Los Angeles or San Francisco for $119

  • New York to Los Angeles or San Francisco or Vegas for $129

  • Toronto to Los Angeles or San Francisco for $129

Caveats: 14-day advance purchase required. Blackout dates are Feb. 18 and 21, 2011. Fares are non-refundable. Bags cost $25 per, up to 70 pounds each.
