SEATTLE (July 18) - Starbucks Corp. has named all 600 company-owned
stores it plans to close in a bid to boost its business and weed
out unprofitable locations.
Seven Massachusetts stores will be closed, in Burlington,
Dartmouth, Newton, North Attleborough, Sharon, Stoughton and
The company announced 50 stores late last week, saying those
stores would be closed by the end of July.
Now the gourmet coffee retailer is detailing all stores slated
for closure. California will lose 88 stores, Florida will lose 59,
and Louisiana will lose 13.
The company announced earlier this month that it would close 600
company-owned stores in the U.S. starting in July and continuing
through the first half of the next fiscal year.
