Jenny Craig Goes On A Real Estate Diet
The new listing comes shortly after Craig, 78, put her next-door thoroughbred race horse training farm on the market for $29.9 million. As reported by Real Estalker, Rancho Santa Fe is considered one of the most expensive and exclusive zip codes in the country.
Craig, who founded her eponymous company in the early 1980s with her deceased husband Sidney in Australia, created millions marketing diet plans with the help of everyone from Kirstie Alley to Monica Lewinsky and Queen Latifah. The Craigs eventually sold their company via a private equity firm to Nestlé in a deal valued at nearly $600,000,000.
Nicknamed The Villa, Craig's 10,000-square-foot Mediterranean home was originally purchased in 1997 from the estate of Pete Rozelle, the former NFL commissioner. The 3.37-acre property boasts four bedrooms, a sizable fitness room, an outdoor pool and tennis courts, as well as a 550-square-foot two-bedroom guesthouse. Set on a private bluff with spectacular views of the Pacific, sweeping staircases, soaring ceilings, and intricate carved wood, the Villa was probably the perfect jewel for the diet diva to entertain her celebrity endorsers but may lack a certain je ne sais quoi once Craig gets rid of the horse farm.
