Honda Recalls 11,000 Vehicles to Fix Loose Suspension Parts
The action affects 2010-11 Honda Accord V6 and 2011 Honda Pilot models, according to a notice posted on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website.
Improperly tightened suspension components on the models may cause excessive noise and lead to steering loss, increasing the risk for a crash, the agency said.
The company says a flaw in the software for the equipment used in the assembly process was discovered at its plant in Alabama, where they models are built, the Associated Press reported.
Honda plans to begin notifying owners this week. Repairs will be made free of charge at Honda dealerships.
