Kroger Co.

recalled specific lots of three brands of dog and cat food in 19 states because it could contain aflatoxin, a chemical produced by mold on corn which can be harmful to pets, the company said.

The company said in its recall notice through the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that consumers should not let their pets eat the food and should return it to the story for a full refund or replacement. If a pet shows signs of sluggishness, doesn't want to eat, has a yellow tint to its eyes or gums and severe or bloody diarrhea, immediately take the animal to the vet.
