Free Shipping Day Is Friday Dec. 17!

Plenty of retailers have offered free shipping deals here and there this holiday season, but more than a thousand stores are banding together to offer free shipping on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 with guaranteed Christmas Eve delivery. To top that off, more than half the retailers participating -- some 60% -- are offering free shipping with no minimums. The rest have minimums or other qualifications to get free shipping.

If you have not finished your Christmas shopping, this Friday is a great day to cross everyone else off your list. The online event is organized by FreeShipping.org, a site devoted to free shipping coupon codes. So far 1,260 retailers are on board.

Some sites may allow you to combine the free shipping offer with other coupon codes, while others may not. A small selection of participating merchants include Macy's, Sears, Ralph Lauren, Office Max, Sephora, Victoria's Secret, JCPenney, Harry & David, Melissa & Doug, Nike, Levi's, UGG, Kmart and the Apple Store. Don't forget to take advantage of rivaling free shipping offers from Walmart, Best Buy, and Amazon. Shipping is one thing you don't want to pay for this Christmas!
