Home shopping network QVC recalled an 8-inch cast-iron skillets it sold because pieces of their enamel coating can come off and potentially burn consumers, the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission said.

CPSC said there have been five reports of enamel pieces popping off the skillet when it's heated, with two consumers suffering minor burns.

The Technique skillets -- about 7,500 in all -- were made by Meyer Trading Co. Ltd. of Hong Kong and were sold through QVC's shopping programs, on its website and in its stores from August 2009 through September 2010 for between $28 and $35 each.
