Bing Crosby Home Selling for $3.5M

Updated

Bing Crosby, known for his laid-back style as much as his soothing bass-baritone voice, liked to entertain other celebrities around the pool at his 6,700-square-foot former home in Rancho Mirage, Calif. Now the Asian-influenced contemporary-style house, which was built in 1957 and also includes a spa and a putting green, is on the market for $3,495,000. Crosby, who died in 1977, was an Academy-Award-winning film star as well as America's top-selling recording artist until rock music took hold. He may be best known for his version of Irving Berlin's "White Christmas." The Rancho Mirage home (see photos on the jump) has five bedrooms and 5 ½ bathrooms, including the Kennedy Wing, named after President Kennedy visited Palm Springs, Calif., in 1962.
