Southwest Celebrates Turkey Day with Free Drinks

"If you are flying on Thursday you get a free adult beverage! Happy Thanksgiving!" read a tweet from the airline on Tuesday.
The airline normally charges $5 for liquor, wine and beer. Soda and juice are complimentary, while energy drinks cost $3.
American Airlines announced last week it would offer an "in-flight Happy Hour" throughout the month of December. Drinks will be sold at reduced prices on flights scheduled to depart from 5 p.m. and 5:59 p.m. local time. As part of the promotion, alcoholic drinks are sold for $5, a discount of $2 on liquor drinks and $1 on beer.
