Meijer recalled a ceramic heater because the oscillating mechanism can short out and catch fire, said the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

No injuries have been reported, but Meijer has two reports of fires that damaged property, CPSC said. About 6,700 of the Touch Point Oscillating Ceramic Heaters were sold in Meijer stores in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio from October 2009 to October 2010 for about $25 each. The gray/silver heaters are about 10 inches tall and have a front screen.
