Market Street: Toy Story 3 items invade your store

Playdom was acquired by Disney several months back, and aside from a promotion in Social City in September, we haven't seen much of the Disney intellectual property popping up in Playdom games. Today, a Toy Story 3 promotion has started in Market Street, giving players the opinion to make and sell toys and decorate their store with recognizable characters from the movie.

Your store can now be decorated with Toy Story 3 signs, and depictions of characters like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Andy, and more. There are tons of toys for purchase, like the dinosaur, piggy bank, wagon, toy box, and soldier sign. Toy Story 3 has been out on DVD now for a short amount of time, and it looks like they're hoping that this promotion in game will provide mutual benefits for the movie and the game.

Market Street has been on a slow decline, having peaked at just over 9 million monthly active players and is now down around 3.3 million. That's still a fair number for sure, but they do seem to be heading on a downward trend. Could using familiar Disney branding bring back the spark in some of the Playdom games that's been causing a decline? Time will tell.
