Treasure Isle Treasure Chests: Feed them gems for better daily rewards

Treasure Chests were admittedly essentially useless in Treasure Isle outside of some extra coins. But no more! Zynga recently updated the way these little goodie boxes work so that now you can upgrade them by feeding them gems. There is a total of 10 levels to boost your Treasure Chest with better rewards made available each time you upgrade.

As of right now, players can upgrade with the gems they currently have and even ask friends for more gems to move on up to the later levels. As always, more gems are available for Island Cash, which might actually be a good investment considering even the lower levels of the new chests can reward the dough. In addition to Island Cash, the new Treasure Chests can contain coins, more gems and precious Energy. To notify you of its level, the chest will physically change, becoming more ornate and regal as you progress. So, go forth and make that eternally floating chest worth something. Seriously, wouldn't that have been taken under by the undertow by now?
