Russian Woman Fakes Bomb Threat To Stop Daughter's Marriage Plans

A Russian woman really doesn't like her daughter's choice of husband. She has been charged with calling in a fake bomb threat to a Moscow airport in an attempt to stop her daughter from getting married.

The 56-year-old woman called Domodedovo airport in Moscow, telling officials her daughter was a terrorist and intended to blow up a flight, reports Itar-Tass.

The daughter was at the airport to catch a plane to Morocco, where she planned to get married.

Airport officials delayed the flight while a search was conducted, and the daughter questioned. Meanwhile, aviation security agents were able to identify the source of the phone call.

Confronted by authorities, the mother, who is a resident of the city of Yaroslavl, confessed to calling in the fake bomb threat.

She told officials her daughter was in love with a Moroccan man and planned to marry him and leave Russia, and that she did not approve.
