Liz Lovely Recalls Dairy- and Gluten-Free Snacks
Consumers who have milk allergies risk potentially life-threatening reactions if they eat the cookies. The company said it has one report of an allergic reaction to the snack food, sold in whole food and organic food stores nationwide as well as through mail order and the Internet.
Liz Lovely CEO and co-founder Daniel M. Holtz said in a statement on the company's website the organic dark chocolate used in the snacks came from a manufacturer that uses the same equipment that also makes milk chocolate.
The entire list of recalled lot numbers is listed on the FDA site. Snacks included in the recall are:
