With Thanksgiving just around the corner, New Braunfels Smokehouse of Texas has recalled about 2,609 pounds of ready-to-eat smoked turkey breast products that may be contaminated with Listeria, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service found the possible contamination through its sampling tests. Listeria can cause miscarriages and stillbirths as well as a potentially fatal infection in those with weakened immune systems. Even normally healthy people can suffer from a high fever, severe headache, a stiff neck and nausea.
