Anyone who's seen a headline declaring that $3 appliances will be on sale at Target on Black Friday 2010, might think it was referring to major appliances, like dishwashers or stoves. But don't get too excited, Target's Black Friday ad is referring to small kitchen appliances like toasters and hand mixers, not a shiny new washer or dryer.

Target's Black Friday 2010 ad was leaked earlier this week and the doorbuster deal of Chefmate products including a two-slice toaster, sandwich maker and hand mixer are advertised for $3 each, while supplies last of course. This is exactly the same deal Target touted last year for Black Friday 2009.

There has been no shortage of screaming headlines about $3 appliances at Target. It's not untrue, but not exactly as big a deal as we might think. That Chefmate two-slice toaster sells for approximately $15 online, and while the doorbuster price is certainly a good value, the offer is designed to get our adrenaline pumping and interested in getting to Target bright and early Black Friday morning.
