I grew up going to Ocean City, Maryland in the summers. I have many fond memories of sinking my toes into warm sand, early morning bicycling on the boardwalk, and late-night caramel corn from Fisher's. There are many activities in Ocean City to enjoy, from parasailing and riding a rollercoaster to taking a short drive to Assateague Island to see the wild horses. Spend a day packing in as many activities as you can or spend a day just relaxing, there is something for everyone in Ocean City, Maryland. This is a wonderful town for families to spend a weekend or longer but with so many hotel options, where should you stay? Here are some of the best Ocean City hotels for you to consider.

Best Ocean City Hotels: Hilton Suites Ocean City Oceanfront

This is one of the best hotels in Ocean City if you desire a luxury vacation for the whole family or a romantic weekend with someone you love. It is an all-suite hotel, with 225 suites all featuring a view of the ocean and a private living room with a balcony. Each suite also has appliances including a refrigerator, stove and dishwasher, making it great for storing leftovers from one of Ocean City's many fine restaurants or preparing a meal for a quiet morning in before heading to the beach. There is an adult pool with a swim-up bar and large sundeck and also a pool appropriate for everyone in the family featuring easy access to the water and even a meandering river to float down. This is one of the most unique of all the hotels in Ocean City. The building itself is grand and imposing, at a prime location on the beach and just one block away from the boardwalk. There are efficiencies with full-equipped kitchens and simpler guestrooms with just a refrigerator and microwave to choose from, and all rooms have an oceanfront view with balcony. With a jewelry shop, exercise room, and complimentary parking, this is truly a full-service hotel with all the bells and whistles. Enjoy the indoor/outdoor pool and relax in a Jacuzzi before laying out your towel and soaking up some gorgeous sun. There are three restaurants on-site for your convenience, The Victorian Room, Zippy Lewis Lounge, and Milton's Café. The Victorian Lounge is well-appointed but suitable for the whole family and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Zippy Lewis Lounge is wonderful for light meals and fantastic for adult beverages and open late daily. Milton's Café is an outdoor café facing the ocean and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in season.

Best Ocean City Hotels: Francis Scott Key Family Motel

This one is a bit further away from the ocean but certainly deserves a place in any list of the best Ocean City hotels. Ideal for families traveling to Ocean City, there are a variety of rooms in different buildings and even guesthouses to choose from. There is so much to do right at the resort that you may not even want to venture out except for a day or two at the beach! If you do want to get to the beach or boardwalk, there is a shuttle service that can get you there so you don't have to worry about parking meters or trying to find a parking spot. With a couple pools, picnic area and the Route 50 Diner on-site, this is a perfect spot to start creating family memories in Ocean City, Maryland.
