Europe on 2011 Travel Wish List According to New TripAdvisor Poll
Of the 3,000 U.S. respondents, 69% say the plan to take an international trip next year, and 52% say they will travel to Europe.
The top international destinations are Paris, London and Rome. As for other destinations, 13% of respondents say they are making plans to travel to Asia, 12% to South America.
A lot of people also plan to vacation close to home, with 75% of respondents saying they plan to visit a U.S. city next year. Las Vegas, New York and San Francisco are the most popular choices.
More than a third (36%) say they plan to spend more money on leisure travel in 2011 than they did this year, while 42% say they expect to spend the same amount.
In either case people are still looking for bargains. Asked the Best Travel Development of 2010, respondents say more online travel deals (38%), cheaper hotel rates (22%) and more in-flight Wi-Fi Internet access on planes (12%).
