Playfish's My Empire goes mobile, manage your loyal subjects on the run

For those who don't want to miss a dime of that precious tax money, Playfish launched a mobile web companion app for My Empire. While you can't access and fiddle with your entire city using My Empire for mobile allows users to collect taxes, manage resources and even request gifts from friends. All you need to do is enter this address, m.playfish.com, into your smartphone's default web browser and connect to the game through Facebook Connect much like Zynga's recent Mafia WarsAtlantic City.

Each function boils down to a simple button press. Every tax collector available in-game will offer you their services in your smartphone, though you'll still need to collect on time. (This is a companion app, people.) Managing your resources is just as easy while asking your friends for gifts has been reduced to no more than three taps of the thumb. And, according to Playfish, this is just the beginning for My Empire and other Playfish games for mobile.

"In coming releases we hope to let players get access to the game's war feature, including training and managing their soldiers," Playfish says. "We are continually evaluating the best approaches to the mobile experience in regards to which features and on what platforms they are best developed for, so keep an eye out for future mobile based Playfish games!"

Can somebody say, "Pet Society for mobile?" Well, how about we wage some war in My Empire before we get too ahead of ourselves. Though, a guy can dream, can't he?
