Taylor Swift to Perform on World's Largest Cruise Ship

Pop star Taylor Swift will be doing a performance on the world's largest cruise ship in January.

Swift is booked to perform on Royal Caribbean's new 5,400-passenger Allure of the Seas. The exclusive concert will take place while the ship is docked in Cozumel, Mexico, on Jan. 21.

The four-time Grammy award-winner will perform in the ship's open-air AquaTheater, an amphitheater-style space that seats about 750.

Fans can see the one-of-a-kind show by entering an online contest (www.TheAllureofTaylor.com). Entries are also being accepted at Clear Channel radio stations and online at www.ryanseacrest.com.

In addition to VIP tickets to the show, the 100 contest winners and their guests will receive passage on the weeklong western Caribbean cruise on Allure, which embarks Fort Lauderdale on Jan. 16.

Other passengers on the cruise will have a chance to win tickets to the show at onboard Taylor Swift-themed trivia, karaoke and look-alike contests.

Those without tickets will be able to see Swift perform from staterooms, balconies and standing room-only areas that overlook the AquaTheater, a Royal Caribbean spokesman tells AOL Travel News.

The Allure of the Seas debuts next month. Swift's new album, Speak Now, launches on Oct. 25.

This is not the first time Royal Caribbean has hosted a pop star in the AquaTheater on one of its giant ships. Allure's sister ship, Oasis of the Seas, was the scene of a concert by Rihanna last November. At the time, Rihanna was promoting her new album Rated R.
