Electrolux, Frigidaire cooktops and ranges recalled after fires

Electrolux and Frigidaire brand smoothtop electric cooktops and ranges are being recalled because they can turn on without warning and start fires, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

Electrolux Home Products, which manufactures both brands, said it had received 70 reports of incidents involving the stoves, including three fires with property damage. Three consumers reported suffering burns.
