More kids flashlights recalled over fire danger

Flashlights for kids that project images of Spiderman or other characters sold at Dollar Tree stores are being recalled because they can catch fire, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

It's part of a not-so-curious pattern of poorly made, imported junk marketed to kids that can have devastating consequences. Almost exactly a year ago, a similar menace entered the Consumer Ally household (courtesy of a party goody bag) that ignited and spurred a recall by Target stores. Another flashlight for kids was recalled at the same time.
