Black Friday: Starting Now at Sears

Man enters a Sears store in Brooklyn,. N.Y.Sears is looking to rerun its Black Friday Now program from last year. Running Oct. 29-30, Sears will feature early versions of door busters and deals.

A spokesman for Sears Holdings told WalletPop in an e-mail that the company isn't ready to discuss details of the program, we'll have to wait until next week, but the first ad has been leaked and posted -- all 16 pages and 158 items.
But according to one Black Friday Web site, Sears' ad is little more than its regular, weekly circular with the words "Black Friday" on it. Yes, there are some genuine deals, particularly in electronics, but not quite the doorbusters shoppers have come to expect.

In 2009, Sears and Kmart hosted Black Friday sales every Friday and Saturday leading up to the actual event. We'll know next week if we can expect the same in 2010.
