Christina Aguilera Splits, Can't Shake Mansion

After five years of marriage Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman join Courtney Cox and David Arquette as a celebrity couple who announced their separation this week. For the last six months Aguilera and Bratman have been trying to sell their Hollywood Hills mansion in Los Angeles -- perhaps a clue that all wasn't good with the marriage.

The property at 1443 Devlin Drive is priced at just under $6 million. However, for those not ready to commit, the 6,500-square-footer also rents for $35,000 a month. With news of their split, Celebuzz predicts that the two will "double down on efforts to sell."
Built in 1960, the Mid-Century Modern pad looks to be more the taste of the "Burlesque" star with pink-painted walls juxtaposing leather decor. Indeed is appears her nesting taste is in sync with her music.

It's a shame Aguilera and Bratman can't make the marriage or the home work, as the home at least is pretty amazing. Glass walls give way to a large pool and a 12-person spa with an outdoor, 15-foot-wide, stainless-steel fireplace and a 25-foot waterfall. There's a patio, a bohemian gazebo, tile and stone flooring, a private movie theater and a recording studio. Add to that what the listing boasts as: "Jetliner views from downtown to the ocean."

While we can all be envious of what a lot of money can buy, it clearly doesn't buy "till death do us part" happiness.
