As the holidays get closer, more stores are hiring seasonal help. The Black Friday rush means that companies need enough employees to handle the overload of customers. For those hunting for jobs, there are plenty of seasonal spots available.

Stores such as Kohl's and Brookstone plan on adding more seasonal helpers than last year. Kohl's anticipates hiring up to 40,000 temporary workers, 20% more than last year. Most of Kohls' additional jobs will be part time, allowing workers to put in anywhere from a few hours to around 20 hours per week. Brookstone is increasing its seasonal staff by 36% more than last year, for a total of as many as 2,000 additional workers. Brookstone also plans on adding 150 extra kiosks and holiday stores this year, better than 40 more than the 109 added in 2009.
