Wanna Rock? Buy Ronnie James Dio's Estate for $3.3M

Updated

Heavy metal fans and armchair satanists rejoice! The Encino, Calif. mansion of the late Ronnie James Dio -- the monster-voiced lead singer for Rainbow, Black Sabbath and Dio -- is on the market for $3.3 million. The five-bedroom, five-bath 5,000-square-foot home was constructed in the 1980s to resemble an English manor, complete with 200-year-old French wood floors and an 1820s bar from the Kings Arms pub in Chigwell, Essex, England.

Another unique feature: stained glass windows from the 18th and 19th century, including cathedral windows in the master bedroom (from 1790). The kitchen, however, is 21st century in its Viking and Miele appliances. The basement -- or the "dungeon," as Dio liked to refer to it -- contains a fully appointed recording studio.

Dio, 67, was diagnosed with stomach cancer in late 2009 and died on May 17, 2010. Known as the archtypical heavy metal vocalist, Dio is also credited with popularizing the "devil horn" hand gesture used as a greeting by countless gnarly metal dudes. Check out the jump for a personal video tour of the home in the 1980s, as well as current interior shots.
