Kid-Friendly Cruises are for All Ages

Kid-friendly cruises are a wonderful way to bring everyone together and make lasting memories. Each family member will find something to enjoy on a cruise and there is nothing more satisfying for a parent than to see happiness in their children's faces. The best kid-friendly cruises can be found setting sail in the Caribbean, Alaska, and many other locations. Which of these kid-friendly cruises sounds good to your family?

Disney Cruise Line – One of the best kid-friendly cruises for you may be with the Disney cruise line. What child (or adult) wouldn't enjoy sailing the high seas with some of their favorite Disney characters? There are lively deck parties, areas to watch movies, and opportunities to be a part of the show while singing karaoke or competing in Mickey Mania Game Show! There are several dining options, including an adults-only restaurant for a romantic dinner just for parents. There are a variety of destinations that the Disney cruise line can take your family, including Transatlantic, Caribbean, and the beautiful Mexican Riviera. Make sure you have your camera ready for all the photo opportunities, like when the kids get to meet Captain Jack Sparrow, Cinderella, and Mickey Mouse. These family cruises are a good option for young and young-at-heart!

Nickelodeon at Sea – Another fine example of kid-friendly cruises is Nickelodeon at Sea, offered by Norwegian Cruise Line. Your kids can hang out with fun characters like SpongeBob and Dora the Explorer, get slimed during Slime Time, and even sing with Dora too! There is an additional charge for breakfast with Nickelodeon. With itineraries going to the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, mom and dad will enjoy these family cruises as well. There are occasionally Nickelodeon All-Access Cruises where some of the most popular Nickelodeon actors and actresses are onboard for a ship full of star-struck kids.

While these are two great options for kid-friendly cruises, not all of the best family cruises are specifically geared to kids. Royal Caribbean cruise ships, for example, have an Adventure Ocean program for kids where they can learn while having fun and parents can enjoy free time with other adults. For the tiniest cruisers, Fisher-Price and Royal Caribbean offer sessions for toddlers and babies to interact with each other in an exciting learning environment. Cruise ships are full of adventures and excitement for all age groups and there are often great deals available, making it an ideal vacation for the entire family.
