Proposal to Give NFL Apparel Rights to Nike

The owners of National Football League franchises will be presented with a proposal that will give the league's apparel and sideline rights to Nike (NKE), CNBC reported.

Nike, Adidas (ADDYY) and Under Armour (UA) all bid for the rights, CNBC reported without naming its sources. The value of the deal is not currently known.

Reebok, which is now owned by Adidas, reportedly paid $300 million for the 10-year rights in 2001.

Under the terms of the new deal, Under Armour would continue as the league's apparel supplier. New Era will be presented as the official cap of the league.
