If you see people post this on your wall -- what you are seeing as pointless spam is the exact kind of thoughtfulness that makes then go to hallmark and buy a birthday card. It is not spam, it is not meaningless. It's really about building social connections."


In a GDC Online talk titled "AAA to Social Games, Making the Leap" Playdom VP of Creative Design Raph Koster explains how important all of those FarmVille posts giving away free tractor parts or lonely, lost animals are to people who play social games, also calling them "emotional notes."
