Drinks flow freely in Las Vegas, Nevada. When you gamble in Las Vegas casinos, you quickly realize that one perk of parting with your money is receiving complimentary beverages. Las Vegas' local bars and sports pubs follow suit, with many establishments providing free meals to patrons who sit at the bar to gamble. Whether you gamble or not, however, there are plenty of sizzling-hot specials during happy hour in Las Vegas, where alcohol is half-price and a happy hour menu offers food at a reduced cost. Here are a few of the best lounges, bars and happy hour restaurants Las Vegas can offer.

1. Blue Martini

Blue Martini in the Town Square Mall at the south end of the Las Vegas strip boasts more than 30 different martini concoctions on its happy hour menu, from "grape crush" to "key lime pie." You can try them for half-price during the daily happy hour, which runs from 4PM-8PM. Costs range from $5 to $10, but they give you the whole shaker, so you're getting a little more for your money. Other cocktails are half-price as well.

If you work in a Las Vegas local bar, restaurant or hotel, you can enjoy Blue Martini's happy hour specials all the time. Show proof of employment, such as a company name badge, and Blue Martini will provide you with an "industry card."

Enjoy your drinks inside, or outside on the large patio equipped with a humidor. If you're a fan of fish, pair your drinks with an appetizer such as the seared salmon quesadilla. Perhaps lobster tacos would be more to your liking. Another good choice is their spinach and artichoke dip that is ample enough to be shared with friends. The happy hour menu is served at a 40 percent discount.

2. PT's Pub

If PT's Spring Mountain location listed below doesn't suit you, don't worry. There are approximately 40 PT's Pubs offering happy hour specials in Las Vegas. These sport pubs come equipped with pool tables and dartboards and provide comfortable sofas for those who plan to spend some time in the pub. Drinks and pizzas are half-price on the happy hour menu at all Las Vegas locations.

PT's is known for their large beer mugs. The smaller size is 16-oz and the larger is 25-oz. Purchase a "Beer Bites" card for $5 and you will receive discounts on food and drinks, and will be alerted to special deals throughout the year. The card comes equipped with a $10 credit, so you're ahead by $5 right from the start.

3. The Hookah Lounge

Paymon's Hookah Lounge in Las Vegas is close to the campus of the University of Nevada. Paymon's Mediterranean Cafe is adjacent to The Hookah Lounge. The cafe offers menu items at a 25 percent discount from 5PM to 9PM each Wednesday.

The Hookah Lounge has a cultural aura with dark, exotic walls and ceiling. Guests sit on benches at tables low to the ground. Domestic and imported beer, specialty drinks, and hookah bowls are half-price during happy hour. There is also a half-price appetizer happy hour menu that includes grape leaves and Paymon's own Athens fries.

Smoking the hookah is an ancient tradition designed for stress relief and reflection. The "hookah man" pays a visit to each table to provide patrons with flavored Egyptian tobacco for the hookah bowl. One of the most popular selections is melon. A single hose is used, so each guest is given his own mouthpiece. Drinks are ordered during the 15 minutes it takes to prepare the hookah. The hookah is lit with charcoal and lasts about 45 minutes. Regular hookah bowls cost $7.50 during this exotic Las Vegas happy hour and frozen hookah runs at $10 per bowl. The establishment is not as smoky as you might imagine, as it's well ventilated.

These specials are available only at the bar and the bar tables. Of course, their specialty is the pink taco or "panucho." It is a corn tortilla stuffed with beans and topped with chicken, salsa, pickled onions and avocado.

The Hard Rock is a trendy spot and this restaurant is no exception. If you're looking for a quiet evening, this may not be for you. However, you can enjoy your drinks and appetizers on the patio if you want to get farther away from the action. The decor, including low-rider bikes and Mexican crafts, is inviting.
