"Borat" star Sacha Baron Cohen, recently slated to play the late rock star Freddie Mercury in an upcoming movie about the band Queen, has just acquired some "very nice, very nice" real estate. The controversial and hilarious British character actor, 38, has added a Mediterranean spread located above Los Angeles' legendary Laurel Canyon, listed at $18.9 million, to his ever-expanding real estate portfolio.

The man behind many people's favorite fictional homophobic racist, Borat, purchased a property as over-the-top as his comedic characters. The compound lies on four wooded acres, and the home itself is set back behind some impressively pop-out-from-behind-the-hedges foliage. Within the gated property is a 1940s-vintage main house with seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. (In case of multiple uncontrollable-laughter emergencies, perhaps?) There's also a guest house, a swimming pool, a detached theater, a wine room, a tennis court with a clubhouse, and a caretaker's cottage to accommodate the movie star's plethora of personalities.
