Updated

MGM Resorts International (MGM) may list its Macau gambling venture on the Hong Kong stock market.

MGM is a partner in MGM China Holdings, a casino in a historic district of Macau, MarketWatch reported. The casino is a joint venture with Pansy Ho, daughter of Macau gambling kingpin Stanley Ho.

The company said in a U.S. regulatory filing that the listing has yet to receive approval from Hong Kong regulators and that "there have not been any decisions made regarding the timing or terms of any such listing or whether MGM China Holdings Ltd. will ultimately proceed with such a transaction."

Earlier this year, there were rumors that MGM China would seek a listing in Hong Kong worth $500 million.

Macau is world's biggest gambling hub, with gambling revenue of $10.7 billion in the first half of the year.
