U.S. Soccer Star Thierry Henry Scores $15M Loft in SoHo

Updated

New York soccer fans take note: After months of house hunting in SoHo and TriBeCa, Thierry Henry has finally dropped some of his American earned dough down for a slick Manhattan apartment. The newly minted New York Red Bulls star athlete will move into a SoHo loft on 39 Crosby St. where he bought the top three floors of the building.

The 33-year-old French striker dropped a cool $15 million for his stateside living. He bought the top two floors for $9 million and slipped in an additional $5.85 million for the lower floor. The money is in an escrow account that will be paid after the current tenant moves out. The triplex was originally listed for $17.5 million. (Still, that's probably more than the total number of soccer tickets sold in New York.)
