Facebook has been going down, then coming back up and then down again -- for the second day in a row. There were reports of a similar outage yesterday, which was blamed on a "third party networking provider."

If you desperately need a FarmVille Fix, you can point your browser to FarmVille.com instead, which seems to be working just fine.

Update (4:12 p.m.): Facebook Twitter post says the social network "maybe be slow or unavailable for some people because of site issues."

Update (5:45 p.m.): Facebook is back (for now) - you may resume your regular farming activities. For those of you worried about your virtual farms, crop withering and puppy hunger was turned off during the down time.
