About 2.2 million Siemens and Murray circuit breakers are being recalled over concerns a spring clip can break and cause the breakers to fail, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

The Mexican-made breakers were sold at The Home Depot, Lowes and other home and electrical stores from June through August.

Siemens and Murray single and double pole circuit breakers, breakers that come with an electrical panel, and meter combos -- those with a panel and a meter socket -- with amp ratings of 15 through 50 are being recalled. They will say "Siemens" or "Murray" on them and have date codes 0610 or 0710.
