Russia to Buy 50 New Boeing 737 New Generation Airliners

Russia will buy 50 new Boeing (BA) 737 Next Generation airliners in a deal worth $3.7 billion.

Russian Technologies, a state-owned company that manages the government's stakes in 12 regional airlines, will buy the aircraft, The Associated Press said. The deal also gives Russian Technologies an option for another 35 jetliners.

Aeroflot, Russia's biggest airline, will lease the jets, the AP reported. The government owns 51.2% of Aeroflot.
